Blue Star Families launched its Fayetteville Greater Region chapter on April 11 to support over 50,000 active-duty military members at Fort Bragg and their families by serving the counties of Cumberland, Bladen, Harnett, Hoke, Moore, Robeson, and Sampson (this is the nonprofit's 13th chapter and first in North Carolina).

Hwy 59 Food Stop opened on April 1 at 822 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville to host up to four food trucks daily with breakfast (7 to 11 a.m.), lunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and dinner (4 to 8 p.m.) shifts.

The site is a collaboration between Eliot Silver, owner of Ty’s Uptown Grill food truck, and Todd Williams of Hwy 59 Auto Repair, who bought the lot four months ago.

On April 11 (yesterday), the All American Tattoo Convention at the Crown Expo Center in Fayetteville showcased tattoo artists working on a range of detailed designs for their clients.
