- ➤ Hwy 59 Food Stop opened on April 1 at 822 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville to host up to four food trucks daily with breakfast (7 to 11 a.m.), lunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and dinner (4 to 8 p.m.) shifts. The site is a collaboration between Eliot Silver, owner of Ty’s Uptown Grill food truck, and Todd Williams of Hwy 59 Auto Repair, who bought the lot four months ago. The Fayetteville Observer

- ➤ Nearly 500 homes and businesses in Cumberland County will soon receive high-speed 1,000 Mbps internet under a state expansion program costing $2.7 million+ paid for by providers and the federal government.
