- ➤ Fayetteville displays historical markers honoring influential Black figures including author Charles Chesnutt, minister Henry Evans, abolitionist Lewis Leary, senator Hiram Revels, and scholar Omar Ibn Said. The markers in downtown and local neighborhoods invite residents to explore the city’s rich cultural legacy for Black History Month. The Fayetteville Observer

FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Fayetteville PWC announced that electricity rates will rise this spring after a board vote (at the Public Works Commission). The changes will increase rates gradually over two years, with residential customers using 1,000 kWh per month paying about $8 more starting in May and a bit more in May 2027. ABC 11
