SINISTER CUTS PRESENTS FOURTH FRIDAY FRIGHT NIGHT - THE SHINING - NOVEMBER 27TH
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27 - 9:30PM
Director: Stanley Kubrick
Starring: Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, and Scatman Crothers
The chilling psychological horror classic The Shining tells the story of Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), a struggling writer who accepts a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the Colorado Rockies. Accompanied by his wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) and young son Danny (Danny Lloyd), Jack hopes the solitude will provide the perfect opportunity to work on his writing. However, as heavy snowfall cuts the family off from the outside world, sinister forces within the hotel begin to take hold. Danny, who possesses a mysterious psychic ability known as “the shining,” experiences terrifying visions of the hotel's dark past, while Jack slowly descends into madness. Filled with haunting imagery, unforgettable performances, and an atmosphere of relentless dread, Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel remains one of the most iconic and influential horror films ever made.
