- ➤ Downtown Fayetteville business owners say the ongoing government shutdown is cutting into sales as many federal workers stay home, reducing visitors to shops and restaurants—restaurant owner Keith Bowen said he is now offering deals to draw in more customers. ABC 11
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Fayetteville patient paid $3,795 for braces from The Smiling Face Company in Raleigh and later learned that the provider was not licensed as a dentist—her office closed on Oct. 1. She said she will seek legal help to get reimbursed and to have her braces checked by a proper orthodontist. ABC 11
