- ➤ On Tuesday, Fayetteville K-9 officers rescued a small, matted dog found motionless on the road and gave it a needed haircut, food, and a vet visit. Officer O’Conner later took the pup home to foster it as it began to recover — showing the department’s commitment to local care. WRAL
- ➤ Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity began home repairs at Army veteran Phyllis McCroskey’s house on Oct. 24–25 and will finish deck, chimney and lighting repairs on Nov. 14–15. Local volunteers and businesses joined the build to honor McCroskey’s longtime service and support of Habitat events. Up & Coming Weekly
