Cumberland County Schools is gathering community input on redistricting and consolidation by holding public meetings on Oct.

29 and Oct. 30 and launching an online survey on Oct. 31—this follows a facilities review that identified over $800 million in maintenance needs for 85 school buildings and raised concerns among parents about changing school boundaries and commute times.

Fayetteville native Chris Dixon, an award-winning designer, and Melvin Melchor hosted a sneaker design workshop for Anne Chesnutt students at Two-Six Labs at Orange Street School in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville Technical Community College celebrated the renaming of its Cape Fear Valley School of Nursing and its School of Health Sciences on Tuesday—after receiving a $2 million donation from Cape Fear Valley Health to support its nursing and allied health programs.
