- ➤ Fayetteville families can plan to trick-or-treat on Oct. 31 as the Sheriff's Office set neighborhood hours from 6 to 8 p.m., and local venues in downtown and community centers will host events featuring candy, games and safe fun — creating many choices for kids. - ➤ Downtown Fayetteville will host the 29th annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. to honor past, present, and future military service, featuring 95 entries including a veterans’ horse unit and renewed partnership with Fort Bragg’s XVIII Airborne Corps and Pope Army Airfield—marking the largest parade in recent memory.
