Fayetteville families can plan to trick-or-treat on Oct.
31 as the Sheriff's Office set neighborhood hours from 6 to 8 p.m., and local venues in downtown and community centers will host events featuring candy, games and safe fun — creating many choices for kids. These events provide options from drive-thru treats to trunk-or-treat festivals across the area.
Downtown Fayetteville will host the 29th annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov.
1 at 10 a.m. to honor past, present, and future military service, featuring 95 entries including a veterans’ horse unit and renewed partnership with Fort Bragg’s XVIII Airborne Corps and Pope Army Airfield—marking the largest parade in recent memory.
Riders, veterans, and supporters will gather at Legends Pub on Saturday, Nov.
8 for Run for the Fallen—an event that includes a motorcycle poker run, silent auction, and post-ride social to honor fallen service members. Registration starts at noon at 4624 Bragg Boulevard, and funds raised will support a wreath-laying ceremony on Dec. 13.

The film Air Angels: Flight Helene will have its world premiere on Veterans Day Nov.
11 at Cameo Art House Theatre, with a free 3 p.m. screening for military and first responders and a 6 p.m. red carpet event open to the public—Mayor Mitch Colvin will declare Air Angels Day. The film honors local heroes who rescued flood victims during Hurricane Helene by highlighting their bravery and community service.

A YouTube channel named ntropolis: news & nostalgia posted four videos in October that feature old 1983 commercials and news clips from Fayetteville's WKFT.
