- ➤ Junior League of Fayetteville will host the 58th Annual Holly Day Fair at the Crown Complex from Nov. 6th to Nov. 9th. The fair will offer over 150 craft and specialty vendors plus special shopping events like early access and Ladies Night Out with Santa photo opportunities, and all funds raised will support local scholarships and grants. - ➤ Fayetteville’s Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Oct 25 at Segra Stadium with free registration and an expected turnout of over 1,000 as the 11th event aims to raise $200,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. - ➤ On Oct. 17, Methodist University President Stanley T. Wearden said that the soon-to-be completed state-of-the-art Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine received accreditation approval needed to begin recruiting its inaugural class for summer 2026—marking it as only the fifth MD program in N.C. in four decades. - ➤ Since 2015, the Community Paramedic Program helped patients at risk after leaving the hospital by offering regular phone calls, home visits, and community health fairs (a key service for recovery).
