- ➤ Off-duty Fayetteville police officers are now permitted to carry their firearms on Cumberland County school property following a memorandum of understanding approved by the Board of Education last week—this agreement requires officers to carry concealed weapons, identify themselves, and act only during emergencies to protect students and staff.
