- ➤ Today, the ZipQuest adventure park offers a zip line course above Carver’s Falls—a 150-foot-wide waterfall on private Bryan family land preserved since 1963. The ride gives visitors a rare bird’s eye view of the falls since no public trail allows easy access on foot. CityView

- ➤ At a Sept. 11 meeting, Cumberland County commissioners voted 5-2 to direct County Manager Clarence Grier to request contractor qualifications for renovating the Crown Coliseum and Theater with a renovation budget not to exceed $100M. They also tasked Grier with reviewing economic development options for the vacant Gillespie Street lot based on over 1,000 survey responses that end today—while planning revised parking behind the courthouse to be finalized by November.
