- ➤ Starting this September, hundreds of American flags will be raised on the parade grounds of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum to honor military service and sacrifice. The Field of Honor exhibit, organized by the museum foundation in partnership with Cool Spring Downtown District, will be open 24 hours a day from Sept 11 to Nov 11 — sponsors can adopt a flag with a $50 donation that includes a personalized tag. - ➤ Cedar Creek Market, LLC recently opened in southeast Fayetteville and offers fresh meats, produce and pantry and skincare products from local farms at 1304 Cedar Creek Road. Owners Channing and Brandon Perdue, who began farming on a 10-acre homestead before expanding to nearly 400 acres in Cedar Creek, plan to host classes and community events this fall—promoting sustainable local farming. - ➤ A man died after being fatally stabbed by a family member at a home on Rosehill Road on Aug 18 at about 11 p.m.—police are investigating the incident. The Fayetteville Observer

- ➤ Fayetteville and county officials met on Aug. 18 to discuss challenges in attracting large businesses because many sites lack proper water and sewer services—especially sewer—to support manufacturing and big offices. Officials said that while $250K is set for water and sewer projects, fully expanding utility services to large properties will take years. The Fayetteville Observer
