- ➤ On August 5 at 10:45 p.m., an 81-year-old Fayetteville woman died in a three-car crash on Rim Road near Rembrandt Drive— a Chevrolet in a left-hand turn collided with a GMC pickup and a Nissan Altima, and others were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The Fayetteville Observer
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cumberland County Schools faces staff shortages with 92 teacher vacancies, 12 bus driver vacancies, and 215 Child Nutrition Services vacancies out of 641 positions ahead of classes starting Aug. 25. The district will hold Walk-in Wednesdays (Aug. 13, 20, 27) from 1 to 4 p.m. at its Operations Center on Gillespie St to hire food service staff ($15 per hour). The Fayetteville Observer
