- ➤ Fayetteville police released a digital image of a deceased woman who is believed to be at least 65 years old (possibly Native American or Hispanic) with long graying hair, no teeth, and a missing left big toe along with signs of recent abdominal surgery, and they ask anyone with information to call Detective H. - ➤ The EPA canceled an $800,000 grant for a UNC-led study aimed at detecting PFAS chemicals in air near Chemours’ Fayetteville Works Plant. Local clean water advocate Mike Watters said the cancellation — notified in May — could delay the analysis of samples collected from his property by a state air monitoring station. CityView
