  • On Monday, Second Harvest Food Bank reported that federal funding cuts have reduced its food distribution by 40%—resulting in a $1.3 million loss in purchasing power as Cumberland County struggles with 17.8% food insecurity. County officials met with food bank director David Griffin and plan to pass a $1 million agricultural assistance fund to help local farmers affected by the cuts.  CityView
  • Officials from Fayetteville and Cumberland County reviewed community impact grants on Monday, June 16 to support youth by reducing hunger, juvenile crime and boosting career skills.
