Good morning, Fayetteville.

Fayetteville’s Cumberland County Animal Services seeks foster homes as demand rises with kitten season and many pets wait for adoption; the program provides full care + supplies and support for new fosters while hundreds of animals have already found temporary shelter.

Board members approved transferring the closed Lillian Black Elementary to the county for $1 at a recent meeting.

Some questioned the deal’s timing and price, and the full school board will review the proposal on June 9.
