- ➤ Hope Mills will host the 3rd Gun Violence Awareness Walk on June 6 at 9 a.m. at the Recreation Center (5766 Rockfish Rd) as community leaders and law enforcement honor lives and promote gun safety. - ➤ Fayetteville restaurateur Bill Pappas, known for building community through his restaurants, died May 17 at age 80. His memorial service is held today at 11 a.m. at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. The Fayetteville Observer
