- ➤ A firefighter was struck by a car Friday in Cumberland County while responding to a crash on U.S. Highway 301 North; emergency responders arrived at 8 a.m. and the car hit the fire engine and firefighter Waymon Hudson at 8:45 a.m. + he was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
