ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A motorcyclist died Sunday night in a crash on Pamalee Drive in Fayetteville—police said officers arrived around 9:45 p.m., began lifesaving measures, but pronounced him dead at the scene with no other vehicles involved. WRAL

- ➤ Fayetteville City Council voted 8-2 during Monday’s special meeting to move forward with drafting a youth curfew ordinance aimed at reducing gun violence, with the draft due to be reviewed on May 12 (the measure is modeled after Charlotte’s ordinance following several recent shooting incidents). The council also approved boosting Crimestoppers tip rewards and a clear bag policy for city events to enhance public safety. CityView
- ➤ County commissioners approved a one-year revenue sharing deal that gives an extra $5.6 million to Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, and other towns. Fayetteville repaid $1.6 million withheld after a long dispute over sales tax money—resolving an issue that stretched back decades. CityView
