  • A trooper tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on April 27—when the driver did not pull over, hit trees and the trooper's car, drove to his home on Brooklyn Circle in Hope Mills, and then surrendered with no injuries reported while his car was seized and charges are pending.  ABC 11

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Thomas Grant, a Fayetteville wildlife-removal expert, said snakes and spiders were the most dangerous creatures to encounter in Cumberland County. He explained that black widow and brown recluse spiders and copperheads can cause serious harm — bites require fast medical attention.  The Fayetteville Observer
