Retired Army veteran Josh Allen opened Dank Burrito on April 1 at 5508 Raeford Road in Fayetteville and local customers have lined up since the grand opening—its top-selling plate is the jerk chicken burrito with punchy mango salsa.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
🚨 Crime
On Saturday night, a driver fled after hitting a pedestrian on North Reilly Road at Telfair Drive; officers arrived around 8:45 p.m. and the victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where they died — police are investigating and have not yet identified the driver.
Police reported that around 5 p.m. yesterday a man died at the College Lakes Recreation Center off Rosehill Road after being shot, and they are investigating the incident as a homicide — no motive has been determined.
