- ➤ A body found in the Cape Fear River in downtown Fayetteville on Tuesday was identified as 51-year-old Gregory Scott Webster, a missing Fuquay-Varina man last seen on Feb. 8 when he left his home on Old Mill Road; his abandoned vehicle was found on River Bend Road and scientists located his remains around 2:30 on March 18 amid fallen trees and debris. Josh Stein visited Ferguson-Easley Elementary on March 20 to explain his plan for schools that will raise teacher pay, add free breakfast, boost mental health support and use a $4 billion school bond to fix old, crowded buildings.
