- ➤ Segra Stadium will host the second annual Mac & Cheese Fest on Saturday, Mar. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. The festival features 20 cheesy menu options from local vendors (including Flaming Hot Cheeto Mac and Cheese and Mac and Cheese Burgers), live music from Rivermist, and kids' play zones. - ➤ Gas prices jumped for a second week, reaching an average of $3.57 per gallon on Monday, March 16 in the Lower Atlantic region that includes Fayetteville. Analysts expect prices could rise another 20 to 30 cents as traders factor in global tensions and spring driving-season demand. The Fayetteville Observer

- ➤ Terry Sanford High hosted a test drive fundraiser on March 10 that raised $5,150 for athletics when Flow Mazda partnered through Mazda’s Be Moved Drive Program (103 test drives completed) to boost funds for equipment and training. CityView
- ➤ The Cumberland County Board of Education approved proposals to close or consolidate 13 schools after reviews of facility conditions and enrollment. The plan calls for new campus construction and student reassignments starting this school year with further changes planned through 2029. The Fayetteville Observer
- ➤ Cumberland County Board of Education reversed earlier consolidation plans after weeks of community criticism. On March 10 at South View High School, board members rescinded facility shifts for Ramsey Street + Alger B. Wilkins, kept E.E. Miller’s year-round schedule and saved Pauline Jones campus.
