ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents in six counties near the Chemours plant are warned against eating homegrown produce because PFAS contamination in well water poses health risks—Chemours is expanding its testing and filtration program to cover 150,000 people and will send letters with more details soon. Scientists urge caution as further testing and updated guidelines are expected from state officials in the coming weeks.  CityView

  • The main branch at 300 Maiden Lane will close on March 24 and reopen on March 31 for shelving renovations — patrons can visit other branches during the updates.  The Fayetteville Observer

HEALTH NEWS

  • Danone issued a recall of over 75,000 bottles of International Delight creamer — including Hazelnut and Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll flavors in 32 oz bottles with best-used-by dates in early July 2025 — after complaints of spoilage and illness in products shipped to 31 states such as those sold locally; consumers should throw out the recalled creamer and seek medical care if they feel sick.  The Fayetteville Observer
