- ➤ Volunteers gathered at Fayetteville’s Crown Coliseum on Wednesday to pack meal kits for local children, organized by Second Harvest Food Bank as part of its ongoing child hunger initiative (the kits feature kid-friendly items like milk, cereal, and fruit cups) that will be distributed to schools across the Sandhills. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After hundreds of community members attended a meeting on March 10 at South View High School, the school board reversed its plan to change E.E. Miller Elementary’s year-round calendar & reassign Ramsey Street High School students to a different building, addressing concerns for marginalized communities. The Fayetteville Observer
- ➤ The school board kept E.E. Miller on a year-round calendar and reversed demolition plans at Pauline Jones Elementary while continuing to debate closing Anne Chesnutt Middle and Manchester Elementary. The next meeting is scheduled for April 14. ABC 11
