- ➤ Fayetteville native J. Cole (the two-time Grammy winner) will perform at the sold out Crown Coliseum on Sept. 23 as part of his Fall Off Tour. Tickets sold out quickly when released, according to venue manager Seth Benalt. CityView
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Cumberland County Board of Education voted on Feb. 9 to let Fort Bragg high school students enroll at any comprehensive high school starting the 2026–27 school year; however, transportation remains limited, and only E.E. Smith High offers bus service + families must arrange their own rides. CityView
- ➤ Cumberland County Schools unveiled a proposed $670.8 million budget (for 2026-27) during Thursday’s meeting, including a 2% pay raise for staff and a request for $6.5 million more from county commissioners. The board will review the proposal again on March 10 before a final vote on April 14. CityView

- ➤ Fayetteville PWC begins its annual water treatment change on March 1. All customers will temporarily receive free chlorine instead of chloramines, which may cause slight changes in water taste, smell, or appearance until the process ends on April 1. The Fayetteville Observer
