- ➤ A local group asked on Feb. 16 to rename Tolar Street to honor Archie Beebe, a man killed in 1867, but property owners disagreed so the request was denied and organizers must reapply using the same process if they wish to try again after five years. The Fayetteville Observer
- ➤ Fayetteville officials are seeking a $25 million federal grant to revitalize Murchison Road by replacing 170 outdated public housing units with mixed income communities and providing relocation support to displaced residents — a move expected to attract further investment.
