  • On Feb. 5 at Crossroads Church, Fayetteville civil rights leader William Barber II told residents that voting in the 2026 elections can help change government policies. He was joined by 17-year-old Kimberly Rocha (with her baby Brielle Towner), and activists plan a march on Feb. 11 and a rally on Feb. 14.  CityView

  • Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Owen Drive is lighting its North Pavilion red through February to mark American Heart Month and remind residents to learn their heart risk factors and schedule preventive checkups — small steps that can save lives.  CityView
