- ➤ Brothers After War, a free screening and guided seminar for veterans, service members, and their families, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at AMC Market Fair 15 on Skibo Road. - ➤ Fayetteville Fishing Expo runs Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 at the Crown Expo Center (1960 Coliseum Dr). The three-day event features over 60 vendors, gear displays and seminars for all anglers with tickets costing $6 to $10, free for children under five and military discounts available. - ➤ The Karen Chandler Trust will launch its 2026 fundraising series Saturday, Jan. 17 with the Mosh Out Cancer concert at Veterans of Foreign Wars Corporal Rodolfo P. - ➤ The Salvation Army shelter in Fayetteville will reopen in coming weeks under new leadership, with city and county leaders pledging funding to keep it operating for at least one year. The facility will offer over 62 beds and daily meals to families, women with children and single adults. ABC 11

- ➤ Fayetteville’s Arts Council will launch Kindred Visions, an Afrofuturism exhibit curated by Antoinne Duane Jones at 301 Hay St. from Jan. 23 to March 1.
