About this event
Wet felting is an ancient and magical artform which utilizes fluffs of wool and water to create a dense fabric known as felt. In this workshop, Nanette will guide participants through the felting process to create colorful, one-of-a-kind, felted wool wallets and eyeglass cases. The wet-felting technique is easy, playful, and produces surprising original designs. The resulting felted pieces are delicately beautiful, make perfect vessels to keep small treasures and are great for gifting. In this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to create 1 wallet and 1 eyeglass case. Prices are reduced for Arts Council members - please call 910-692-2787 for more details.
NOTE: Please bring 2-3 thick old bath towels and 2-4 small clean cotton rags for shaping the bowl. OPTION : Bring an apron & vinyl (or latex) gloves to keep dry.
